Core Ultra 9 285K Gaming Desktop

This ArsenalPC system pairs a 24-core Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card. It ships with 32GB of DDR5 memory and a 2TB NVMe SSD. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed on a liquid-cooled platform built for high-frame-rate gaming and AI-ready workloads.

LGA 1851 Platform Constraints

The Intel LGA 1851 socket and chipset define the upgrade path for this desktop. Memory runs as 32GB DDR5 in a 288-pin DIMM form factor. Network connectivity includes 2.5G Ethernet and wireless capability. The 1000W power supply supports the installed components within this fixed platform.

RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7 Decides Fit

The graphics card carries 16GB of GDDR7 video memory and anchors 4K gaming performance. Buyers who need more VRAM for heavy creative rendering or multi-GPU compute should look elsewhere. The 360mm liquid cooler with panoramic LCD and ten 120mm fans manage thermals for this specific configuration.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 32GB DDR5 or upgrade to 64GB for the Core Ultra 9 285K?

The system ships with 32GB DDR5 across two 16GB modules on the Intel LGA 1851 platform. That capacity handles current AAA titles and heavy multitasking. Moving to 64GB only helps if you run virtual machines, large video timelines or memory-hungry AI workloads.

What does the 5.7GHz boost on the Core Ultra 9 285K actually deliver in games?

The 24-core processor can hit 5.7GHz on its performance cores while the 360mm liquid cooler with panoramic LCD keeps temperatures in check. In practice that means consistently high frame rates at 1440p and 4K without thermal throttling during extended sessions.

How does the 2.5G Ethernet port cap real-world throughput?

The 2.5G Ethernet controller supports up to 2.5 gigabits per second, roughly three times standard gigabit LAN. Actual transfer speeds depend on your router, switch and cabling, but the port removes the 1Gbps bottleneck for fast NAS access and low-latency online play.
