Ready-to-play AMD gaming desktop

This ArsenalPC system pairs a Ryzen 9 9900X 12 core processor at 4.4 GHz with an AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT 16GB GDDR6 graphics card, 64GB DDR5 memory and a 4TB NVMe SSD plus 2TB HDD. It ships with Windows 11 Home, 2.5G Ethernet, WiFi, RGB lighting and a 360mm liquid cooler in a ROG Strix Helios GX601 case powered by an 850W supply.

Upgrade from older CPU or GPU platforms

The jump is worth it when your current rig cannot feed a 12 core 4.4 GHz Ryzen processor or drive a Radeon RX 9070 XT at high settings. Builders moving from a 4 core or 8 core CPU, or from a graphics card with less than 16GB GDDR6, will see the clearest gains in modern titles and multitasking workloads.

Verify case clearance and power connectors

Ensure your workspace fits the ROG Strix Helios GX601 chassis and that the 850W unit provides the required PCIe cables for the RX 9070 XT. Confirm your monitor uses a compatible video input for the Radeon card and that you have a free 288-pin DIMM slot if you plan to add memory later.

Questions about this item

Will the 360 mm liquid cooler fit inside the ROG Strix Helios GX601 case?

The GX601 chassis is designed to support a 360 mm radiator, so the supplied liquid cooler mounts without modification.

What is the correct way to seat the 288-pin DDR5 modules on the AM5 motherboard?

Align the notch on each 64 GB stick with the slot key, press straight down until both retention clips click, then verify the system posts at the rated speed.

When should the coolant in the 360 mm liquid cooler be refreshed?

Plan to inspect the loop every two to three years; replace the fluid if you see discoloration or a rise in CPU temperatures under load.
