Space-Saving Ironing Alternative

This 39.8 by 18.3 inch mat replaces a traditional board and fits small rooms or apartments. The four-layer construction withstands heat up to 374 and blocks steam transfer to protect underlying surfaces. Magnetic edges hold the pad steady on compatible metal surfaces such as washer tops. It weighs .372 kilograms and folds flat for storage or travel.

Heat Protection Under Sustained Use

The layered design handles continuous steam and temperature without transferring heat to the table or appliance beneath. A silicone rest keeps a hot iron stable during pauses, while the pressing mesh shields delicate fabrics from shine or marks. The surface remains effective across repeated sessions without degradation. Avoid use on glass, soft furnishings, or thin plastic.

Upgrade From Folding Boards

This mat suits anyone replacing a bulky stand-alone board with a portable, storable solution. The jump is worth it when storage space is limited or when ironing must move between table, washer, or dresser. Buyers who need a rigid frame, height adjustment, or a larger pressing area will not find those features here. Hand wash only and do not tumble dry.

Questions about this item

Does the 4-layer mat rated for 374 degrees get hot enough to burn the table after hours of pressing?

The mat blocks heat up to 374 degrees so the surface underneath stays protected during long ironing sessions.

What type of surface must I already have for the magnetic edges to hold the 39.8 by 18.3 inch mat in place?

The built-in magnets grip metal surfaces such as washer or dryer tops; on wood, laminate or stone the mat lies flat without magnetic hold.

Will the silicone rest and pressing mesh work safely with an older steam iron that leaks water?

The silicone rest keeps a hot iron steady and the mesh protects delicate fabrics, so minor leaks from an older iron are contained on the mat.
