Portable UV Blacklight for Document Verification

This portable UV blacklight flashlight combines a torch and money detector in one lightweight device. It uses long wave UV light that is gentle on the eyes while revealing hidden security features. The compact unit measures 16.3 by 5.6 by 2.2 cm and weighs 3.1 oz for easy handling. Power is supplied by four AA batteries which are not included.

Long Wave UV Light Limitations

The long wave UV light is designed to be safe for eyes during normal use but may not excite all fluorescent security features. Some advanced anti-counterfeit inks require shorter wavelength UV sources to become visible. Battery performance will vary with temperature and cell quality affecting detection consistency. The device cannot verify digital security elements or magnetic threads embedded in documents.

Pre-Purchase Setup Checks

Ensure you have four AA batteries available as none are supplied with the unit. Confirm the 16.3 by 5.6 by 2.2 cm dimensions fit your intended storage or carrying space. Verify that long wave UV authentication meets the specific document types you need to inspect. Consider whether a mains-powered alternative suits fixed-location use better.
