200ft RF Range Outlet

The Asante remote control outlet uses a 200ft RF signal to switch a single plug-in module through walls and doors. It targets renters, elderly users and anyone who wants lamp or appliance control without wiring or Wi-Fi.

15A Continuous Load Handling

The outlet sustains 15A and 1875W for high-draw devices such as space heaters or window AC units. Overload protection and fire-resistant materials keep the circuit safe during extended operation.

Replaces Wired Switches and Short-Range Remotes

It upgrades from fixed wall switches or 100ft remotes when a 200ft range and tool-free setup are needed. Buyers who require multi-outlet strips or app-based scheduling should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Does the remote-controlled outlet generate any noticeable heat or noise when a 15 A space heater runs all day?

The unit is rated for 15 A and 1875 W continuous load with built-in overload protection and fire-resistant materials, so it runs silently without fans and stays cool under normal operation.

What type of wall receptacle must already be present for the Asante BHC1801U-20E to plug in and work?

It plugs directly into a standard North American wall receptacle and leaves the second socket free for other devices.

Can the handheld remote still control the outlet if an older RF device operating on the same frequency is already in the home?

The RF signal works through walls and doors up to 200 ft in open areas without interference, so legacy devices on other frequencies will not affect it.
