Ashthorpe 41-Inch Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric

This full-size dreadnought acoustic-electric guitar suits beginners and advanced players seeking versatile performance. It functions acoustically without an amplifier or electrically when plugged in. The brown high-gloss finish highlights the A-grade spruce top and basswood back and sides. A 4.5-inch body depth contributes to a deep low end with balanced tone.

Upgrade from basic starter instruments

The solid spruce top and X-braced soundboard replace laminated tops found on entry-level guitars, delivering improved resonance and structural integrity. Marine-grade okoume neck construction replaces softer woods for enhanced strength and balance. The integrated 4-band pickup equalizer with volume control adds stage-ready tonal control that basic acoustics lack. Two string sets including a spare eliminate immediate accessory purchases.

Verify amplifier and playing requirements

Confirm you have access to a compatible amplifier for electric use, as none is included in this bundle. The dreadnought body size requires comfortable reach for the 41-inch scale and 4.5-inch depth. Ensure the integrated preamp controls meet your tonal shaping needs for live or recorded applications. The brown finish is fixed and cannot be changed after purchase.

Questions about this item

What size case fits the 41-inch dreadnought body?

A full-size dreadnought case made for a 41-inch body with a 4.5-inch depth will fit this guitar.

How is the 4-band pickup equalizer powered for amplified play?

The onboard preamp requires a standard 9-volt battery, installed in the compartment near the endpin jack, to operate the bass, mid, treble and presence sliders.

When should the phosphor-bronze strings with anti-rust coating be replaced?

Replace them when tone dulls, intonation drifts or coating wear appears; a spare set is included in the bundle for the first change.
