Expansion Pack Requirement

Physical Operation

As a card-based tabletop game, the product generates no heat, noise or power draw during normal use. Components consist of printed cards and packaging that operate silently on a tabletop. No batteries, electricity or cooling are required for gameplay sessions lasting one to two hours.

Scenario Mechanics

The Dim Carcosa scenario introduces locations without unrevealed sides, using reverse-side story cards to advance the narrative. Insanity mechanics change so investigators continue playing when horror equals or exceeds sanity. The pack also supplies new player cards that expand deck-building options for future campaigns.

Questions about this item

How do I add the Dim Carcosa Mythos Pack to my Arkham Horror collection?

You need the Arkham Horror Core Set and The Path to Carcosa Deluxe Expansion first. Open the pack, shuffle its player cards into your collection, then place the scenario cards into the campaign box for The Path to Carcosa.

Will any components of this Mythos Pack wear out and need replacing?

The pack contains only standard card stock tokens and cards. With normal handling they last indefinitely; sleeves can protect them if you shuffle heavily, but no part has a defined lifespan or replacement schedule.

What stops me from playing this scenario with three or four investigators right away?

The box supports 1 to 2 players. To reach 3 or 4 players you must own a second Core Set, which supplies the extra investigator cards and tokens required for larger groups.
