Fan-cooled barebone with an Intel N97 quad-core processor, dual 2.5 Gbps LAN, Wi-Fi 6E and room for 32 GB of DDR5
The ASRock Industrial NUC BOX-N97/D5 is a fan-cooled barebone built around the Intel Processor N97 with four cores. It arrives without memory or storage so system integrators and home-lab users can choose their own DDR5 SO-DIMM and M.2 or SATA drives. The slim black chassis measures 117.5 x 110.0 x 47.85 mm and weighs 1.0 kg.
A single 262-pin SO-DIMM slot accepts DDR5 4800 modules up to 32 GB. One M.2 Key M socket supports 2242, 2260 or 2280 SSDs via PCIe Gen3 x1 or SATA3, while a SATA 6.0 Gb/s port adds a 2.5-inch drive option. Triple display output is provided through two HDMI 2.0b ports and two DisplayPort 1.4a signals from the front USB-C connectors. Dual 2.5 Gbps LAN, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 handle wired and wireless networking.
The integrated fan keeps the N97 within thermal limits during typical office, signage or light edge workloads. Acoustic output stays low in normal use because the processor base power is modest. The included 19 V / 65 W adapter supplies the unit, leaving headroom for the chosen memory and storage without requiring an external power brick upgrade.

The 65W adapter matches the system design; the 4-core N97 processor and integrated UHD Graphics draw well within that envelope under continuous load.
The slim fanned chassis uses active cooling; fan speed scales with CPU temperature so acoustics stay low at idle and rise only under heavy sustained workloads.
One 262-pin DDR5 4800 module up to 32GB is required; the barebone ships with no memory installed.
