A 4U rackmount barebones server supporting dual LGA 4189 Xeon processors, 32 DDR4 3200 DIMM slots, twelve 3.5″ hot-swap drive bays, and dual 10GbE networking
The ASRock Rack 4U8G-ICX2/2T is a 4U rackmount server barebone that accepts up to two Intel Xeon processors in LGA 4189 sockets. It provides 32 DDR4 3200 DIMM slots for large memory capacity and includes a 3+1 redundant 1600W CRPS power supply. The chassis is designed for high-density workloads in a standard rack.
This platform suits clusters that need maximum core count and memory channels per rack unit. It also fits GPU-accelerated workloads with support for up to eight dual-slot PCIe 4.0 x16 cards. Buyers who only need a single processor or fewer than sixteen DIMM slots per CPU should look at smaller platforms.
The 32 x 288-pin slots are the specification that decides whether this barebone matches the memory scale required. Each processor controls sixteen slots and supports DDR4 RDIMM, LRDIMM and NVDIMM modules at 3200 MT/s. No memory is installed, so the buyer must populate the slots to meet the workload.
