8 GB GDDR6 graphics card

The ASRock Radeon RX 5500 XT Phantom Gaming D 8G OC is an 8 GB GDDR6 graphics card built around the Radeon RX 5500 XT GPU. It targets gamers who want 1080p performance on a PCI Express 4.0 x8 platform with a 128-bit memory bus.

128-bit memory interface and 8 GB capacity

The single specification that determines fit is the 128-bit memory interface paired with 8 GB of GDDR6 running at 14 Gbps. This combination sets the bandwidth ceiling for texture-heavy titles and fixes the maximum frame-buffer size for modern game assets.

Dual-fan cooler with 8-pin power

Installation follows the standard dual-slot form factor measuring 240.57 x 127.16 x 41.92 mm and draws auxiliary power through one 8-pin connector. The most common issue is forgetting to connect the 8-pin cable or seating the card incompletely in the PCI Express 4.0 x8 slot, which prevents the GPU from reaching its 1845 MHz dynamic boost clock.

Questions about this item

How does the 1845 MHz dynamic boost clock behave inside a real system?

The GPU can reach 1845 MHz under light loads; sustained gaming clocks sit at 1737 MHz while the base clock remains 1685 MHz.

What does the PCI Express 4.0 x8 link limit in practice?

The x8 lane width caps theoretical bandwidth to half of a full x16 slot, though typical gaming workloads see minimal impact.

Will the 240.57 mm length and dual-slot 41.92 mm thickness fit my case?

The card measures 240.57 mm long and occupies two slots at 41.92 mm thick; verify your case clearance and motherboard spacing.
