Challenger D 8GB for 1080p gaming

The ASRock Radeon RX 6600 XT Challenger D is a graphics card built for 1080p gaming. It uses the RDNA 2 architecture with 2048 stream processors and 8GB of GDDR6 memory. The board connects through a PCI Express 4.0 slot and draws power from a single 8-pin connector.

128-bit memory interface

The 128-bit memory bus is the specification that determines if this card fits your performance target. It feeds the GPU at speeds suited for high-frame-rate 1080p play in modern titles. A 500 watt power supply is recommended to support the whole system.

Dual-fan cooler with metal backplate

The double-fan design uses striped axial fans and an ultra-fit heatpipe to move heat away from the GPU. A stylish metal backplate adds structural rigidity to the card. The 0dB silent cooling feature stops the fans completely when the load is light.

Questions about this item

How does the 2048 stream processors translate to real gaming performance?

The 2048 stream processors handle parallel graphics work for the Radeon RX 6600 XT, letting you run modern titles at 1080p or 1440p with high settings.

What does PCI Express 4.0 mean for bandwidth on this card?

PCI Express 4.0 provides the link to the motherboard; the 128-bit memory interface and GDDR6 memory set the actual data rate the GPU can use.

Will the double-fan cooler fit in a standard mid-tower case?

The dual-fan design with metal backplate uses a standard two-slot bracket and a single 8-pin power connector, so it fits most mid-tower builds with a 500W supply.
