Compatible black ink cartridges

This two-pack of Aster Graphics Inc 222XL cartridges replaces Epson 222XL black ink for Expression XP-5200 and WorkForce Pro WF-2960 printers. The cartridges arrive new with integrated chips for immediate printer recognition. Each unit targets up to 550 pages of black output under standard test conditions.

Chip-equipped design for direct installation

Integrated chips allow the cartridges to communicate with the printer without manual resets or workarounds. The moulded shells fit the Expression XP-5200 and WorkForce Pro WF-2960 carriage exactly, so installation follows the normal front-access routine. Materials meet ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards and the design supports standard recycling streams after use.

Yield limits and colour scope

Black yield is rated at 550 pages per cartridge at 5 % coverage; real-world output drops with dense graphics or frequent cleaning cycles. This pack contains black ink only — colour printing requires separate cyan, magenta and yellow cartridges rated at 185 pages each. The chips are programmed for the listed Epson models and will not function in other printer series.

Questions about this item

Does the 222XL cartridge work with the Expression XP-5200 and WorkForce Pro WF-2960 printers?

Yes, the 222XL is a compatible replacement for Epson 222XL cartridges and fits the Expression XP-5200 and WorkForce Pro WF-2960 models.

What physical form does the cartridge take and does it include the chip?

Each cartridge is a standard Epson 222XL form factor with an integrated chip that the printer recognises immediately.

How do I install the cartridge and what step do people often miss?

Remove the orange protective clip and tape, insert the cartridge until it clicks, then run the printer's alignment routine — skipping alignment causes misregistered colours.
