Compatible TN229 Cyan Cartridge

This new aftermarket toner cartridge replaces the Brother TN229 cyan supply and fits the listed HL and MFC colour laser printers. It is intended for home or small-office users who want a direct drop-in replacement without changing printer settings.

Thermal noise and power

The cartridge contains no moving parts, fans or heating elements, so it adds no audible noise or measurable power draw to the printer during normal operation. Print quality and toner fusion rely entirely on the printer’s own engine.

Chip and shelf life

An integrated chip communicates remaining toner levels to the printer, enabling low-toner alerts and preventing unrecognised-cartridge errors. The sealed unit carries a two-year shelf life, so spare cartridges can be stored until needed without degradation.

Questions about this item

How do I install the TN229 cyan toner and what step do people often miss?

Open the front cover, pull out the old cartridge, unpack the new TN229 cyan unit, remove its protective seal, slide it firmly into the cyan slot until it clicks, then close the cover; the step users skip is peeling off the seal completely.

What maintenance or replacement will this cartridge need later?

The TN229 cyan toner yields up to 1200 pages; once the printer signals low toner you simply replace this single cartridge — no drum or waste-bottle service is required for this model.

What limit appears first during long print runs with this toner?

The 1200-page yield is the first limit; after that volume the cyan toner is exhausted and the printer will prompt for a new TN229 cartridge.
