Bulk 8 GB USB 2.0 drives

The Astro Gaming bundle supplies one hundred black 8 GB flash drives built around Grade A chips and a USB 2.0 interface. They are suited for organisations that need large volumes of low-cost portable storage for document transfer or offline backups.

Operating range and durability

The drives operate between 0 °C and 60 °C and survive storage from –20 °C to 85 °C. Rated for fifty thousand read and write cycles, the aluminium swivel clip rotates 360 ° and includes an eye loop for key-ring attachment.

USB 2.0 speed limits

Sequential reads reach 12–15 MB/s and writes 5–7 MB/s, so the drives are practical for small files but not for moving large media libraries or running live operating systems.

Questions about this item

How do I plug the swivel USB connector into a tight port without forcing it?

Rotate the aluminum clip 360 degrees around the ABS body until the USB 2.0 plug aligns with the port, then insert gently; the 0.4 inch folded thickness clears most adjacent sockets.

Will the Grade A flash memory chip need replacement after heavy daily writes?

The drive is rated for 50,000 read and write cycles, so typical document or media transfers will not wear it out for years.

At what temperature does sustained writing throttle or fail first?

Operating range tops out at 140F (60C); prolonged writes above that temperature can cause errors or permanent damage.
