Purple CAT6 bulk cable for installers

This purple Cat 6 bulk cable comes in a 1000-foot pull box and uses 23 AWG solid copper-clad aluminum conductors in an unshielded twisted-pair construction. It is rated to 550 MHz and carries DSX-8000 channel certification for Cat 6 performance. The jacket is marked every two feet for accurate length tracking during pulls.

Verify CCA limits before ordering

Copper-clad aluminum conductors are not UL or ETL listed and the manufacturer states they are not recommended for Power over Ethernet applications. The maximum recommended run for this cable is around 270 feet, so longer single-link segments need a different cable type. Confirm that your installation does not require PoE or a listed cable before committing to this reel.

Pull-box design speeds deployment

The wide-mouth payout box lets the cable feed smoothly without tangling, reducing install time on large jobs. No connectors, patch panels or termination tools are bundled, so budget separately for RJ-45 plugs and a crimper. The two-foot length markings help cut exact runs without a separate measuring step.

Questions about this item

Does the 1000ft pull box include RJ-45 connectors or do I need to buy them separately?

The box contains only the bulk CAT6 cable; RJ-45 connectors are not included and must be purchased separately for termination.

Which of the 10 jacket colours should I choose for an indoor network run?

All 10 colours share the same 23AWG CCA construction and 550MHz rating, so pick the colour that best matches your cable-management scheme.

What does the 550MHz rating mean for real-world Gigabit Ethernet performance?

The 550MHz bandwidth supports Gigabit speeds up to the recommended 270ft maximum run length for this CCA cable.
