What this mousepad is and who it is for

The Astro Gaming X-Raypad Aqua Control Plus Yellowbee & Blackbee AC+ V2 is a gaming mousepad sold as a 2 in 1 accessory. It uses an all-new honeycomb polyurethane fabric surface that was first sampled in 2022 and refined through player feedback gathered in early 2024. The design targets FPS players who prefer low DPI settings and want a consistent glide feel across both axes.

The specification that decides fit

The honeycomb textured fabric is the single feature that defines the glide character; it replaces the hybrid Aqua Control and Origin Pro surfaces used in earlier Xraypad models. If your aim relies on a specific friction profile, the honeycomb pattern is the detail to evaluate before buying.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This pad suits competitive shooters who want matched X and Y glide on a fabric base and who have tested honeycomb textures before. Buyers who need a hard plastic or glass surface, or who require a larger desk footprint than this model provides, should consider other options.

Questions about this item

How does the honeycomb fabric surface change glide feel during FPS play with low DPI?

The honeycomb texture gives a consistent X and Y glide that feels the same in every direction, helping low-DPI players make precise micro-adjustments without sudden speed changes.

What mouse sensor types work reliably on this honeycomb cloth surface?

Optical and laser sensors both track cleanly on the honeycomb weave because the pattern is uniform and non-reflective, so there is no loss of accuracy during fast swipes.

What desk space does the pad need to stay flat and stable?

The pad lays flat on any clean, level desktop; its rubberised base grips without adhesive, so it stays put during aggressive movement as long as the surface is free of dust and liquids.
