Purpose-built portable PC

The ASUS 7520U VivoBook Go is a 15.6 inch Full HD laptop powered by an AMD Ryzen 5 7520U processor with 8 cores and a turbo frequency of 4.3GHz. It comes with 8GB DDR4 memory and a 1TB NVMe SSD running Windows 11 Home. The integrated AMD Radeon graphics drive the 1920 x 1080 non-touch display.

Best fit and limits

This machine suits students, office workers and casual users who need a light 180-degree lay-flat design with a webcam privacy shutter and HDMI output for everyday productivity and media consumption. Buyers who need more memory for virtual machines, heavy multitasking or content creation should look elsewhere, as the 8GB configuration is fixed. Gamers or professionals requiring discrete graphics performance will also find the integrated graphics insufficient.

Deciding specification

The single specification that decides fit is the 8GB DDR4 memory capacity, which cannot be upgraded after purchase. If your workload regularly exceeds this limit, the laptop will bottleneck regardless of the 8-core Ryzen 5 7520U processor or the spacious 1TB NVMe storage. Confirm your memory needs before ordering.

Questions about this item

Does the 15.6 inch chassis have a 180-degree lay-flat hinge for flat mounting?

Yes, the VivoBook Go 15 includes an 180-degree lay-flat hinge so the screen can open completely flat on a desk or table.

What is the correct order to install Windows 11 Home on the 1TB NVMe SSD and avoid a missing-drive error?

Boot the laptop, enter the BIOS to confirm the NVMe SSD is detected, then run the Windows 11 installer which will partition and install directly onto the 1TB drive.

When should the 8GB DDR4 memory be upgraded if multitasking slows down?

The 8GB DDR4 is soldered and cannot be upgraded later; if more memory is needed a different model must be chosen.
