Mechanical gaming keyboard with optical switches

The ASUS ROG Strix Scope RX uses ROG RX Blue Optical switches that deliver a 1 ms response and a 100-million-keystroke lifespan. The extended left Ctrl key gives FPS players a larger target for crouch and other actions. A stealth key hides apps and mutes audio instantly for privacy.

USB 2.0 passthrough and onboard profiles

A full-function USB 2.0 passthrough port allows device charging or external storage without reaching the rear of the PC. Armoury Crate software maps macros and adjusts lighting, while onboard memory stores up to five profiles for use on any system without software.

Alloy frame with IP56 resistance

An alloy top cover adds rigidity and a premium feel, while IP56 water and dust resistance protects the internals from spills and debris. Per-key RGB LEDs with a backlit ROG logo provide full illumination customisation. The wired USB 2.0 connection ensures consistent performance without batteries.

Questions about this item

How often will the ROG RX Blue Optical switches need replacing?

Each switch is rated for 100-million keystrokes, so replacement is unlikely for years of heavy daily use.

What limit appears first during marathon sessions?

The IP56 rating protects against dust and water, but the alloy top cover can still trap heat under continuous RGB load.

How loud and warm does the keyboard get when running all day?

Optical switches stay quiet, while per-key RGB and the USB 2.0 passthrough add modest heat that the alloy frame dissipates.
