EVA-02 full-size gaming keyboard

The ASUS ROG Strix Scope RX EVA-02 Edition is a wired full-size keyboard built around ROG RX Blue optical mechanical switches. It features an EVA-inspired red and orange colour scheme with transparent Esc and F12 keycaps plus a dye-sub spacebar. The alloy top cover adds rigidity while IP57 water and dust resistance protects against spills. It targets players who want a themed board with fast optical actuation.

Installation and common issues

Connection uses a USB 2.0 Type-C to Type-A cable and requires no extra drivers on Windows 10 or 11. A USB 2.0 passthrough port on the board allows charging or attaching a mouse without reaching the PC. The wider left Ctrl key eases crouch bindings in shooters but can feel unfamiliar for touch typists. A dedicated Stealth key instantly hides apps and mutes audio, which may trigger accidentally during intense sessions.

Practical limits of USB 2.0 interface

The keyboard communicates over USB 2.0, so its polling rate and data throughput are capped by that standard. The passthrough port shares the same bandwidth and power budget, limiting charging speed for high-draw devices. RGB lighting and macro storage are handled on-board, so they do not depend on host software once configured. No wireless option exists; the cable is the only link.
