Right-Handed Vertical Ergonomic Mouse

The ASUS Anker AK-98ANWVM-UBA is a right-handed vertical mouse built to support a neutral handshake wrist posture during long sessions. It connects via 2.4 GHz wireless using a stored USB receiver and also offers a Bluetooth interface for multi-device use. Sixteen programmable buttons and three selectable DPI levels (800, 1200, 1600) suit productivity and gaming workflows alike.

Check USB Port Type and Hand Orientation

Verify that your system provides a USB 2.0 port or a USB 2.0 extension cable; the supplier notes that USB 3.0 ports or devices can cause interference with the wireless connection. This model is shaped for right-hand use only, so left-handed buyers should look elsewhere. Two AAA batteries are required but not included in the package.

Receiver Storage and Power-Saving Wake

The 2.4 GHz nano receiver nests inside the mouse base, reducing the chance of loss during transport. After eight minutes of inactivity the mouse enters a deep power-saving mode that cuts power completely; pressing either primary button wakes it instantly. The box also contains a printed instruction manual for setup reference.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and do I need to buy batteries separately?

The package includes the mouse, a 2.4 GHz USB receiver stored in the mouse base, and an instruction manual. Two AAA batteries are not included and must be purchased separately.

Which DPI level should I choose for daily work versus gaming?

The mouse offers 800, 1200 and 1600 DPI settings. Lower DPI gives finer cursor control for detailed tasks; higher DPI moves the pointer further per hand movement, useful for fast-paced gaming.

How does the 1600 DPI sensor perform on a real desk surface?

The optical sensor tracks smoothly on most common desk surfaces at 1600 DPI, delivering precise cursor movement without a mouse pad. The mouse enters power-saving mode after 8 minutes of inactivity to extend battery life.
