Combo foundation

The ASUS B850M AYW GAMING WIFI motherboard paired with the AMD Ryzen 5 9600X processor gives builders a ready-to-run AM5 platform. The board supports Ryzen 7000, 8000 and 9000 Series CPUs while the included six-core, twelve-thread chip reaches a 5.4 GHz max boost clock and is unlocked for overclocking.

Cool and connected

Dual-channel DDR5 memory runs up to 4733 MHz OC within the board's 128 GB capacity limit, keeping data paths short and power draw moderate. Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), Bluetooth 5.2 and Realtek 2.5Gb Ethernet handle networking without extra cards, while Realtek ALC1220 7.1 HD Audio with ESS SABRE ES9218C DAC delivers clean output for headsets or speakers.

Build flexibility

Micro-ATX dimensions leave room in smaller cases and free up expansion slots for add-in cards. Storage options include one PCIe 4.0 M.2 slot, one PCIe 3.0 M.2 slot and six SATA 6Gb/s ports for mixed SSD and hard-drive arrays. Rear I/O supplies a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port, eight USB 3.2 Gen1 ports and HDMI 2.0b video, while a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot and reinforced PCIe 3.0 slots handle graphics and peripherals.
