27" 1440p 120Hz IPS monitor

The ASUS BE27ACGN is a 27 inch WQHD display with a 2560 x 1440 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It uses an IPS panel with LED backlighting and covers 16.7 million colours at 350 nit brightness. The 5 ms response time and Adaptive Sync support suit everyday gaming and creative work.

Suits single-monitor setups.

This model provides one HDMI port and two DisplayPort connections alongside a single USB-C input. Users who need multiple USB-C video inputs or a built-in KVM switch should consider other options. The 178 degree viewing angles and 3000:1 contrast ratio serve well for centred viewing positions.

120Hz refresh rate at 2560 x 1440

The 120Hz refresh rate at native 1440p resolution is the specification that determines suitability for high-frame-rate gaming or smooth desktop motion. Buyers targeting 144Hz or higher should verify their requirements against this fixed ceiling.

Questions about this item

Will the LED backlight on this 27 inch monitor need replacing after long daily use?

The LED backlight is rated for tens of thousands of hours and is not user-replaceable; if brightness degrades the whole panel would need service.

What limit appears first when the 120Hz refresh rate runs continuously for hours?

Sustained 120Hz output at 2560 x 1440 is constrained by the single HDMI 2.1 port bandwidth and the 5 ms response time of the IPS panel.

How much heat and fan noise does the 350 nit IPS screen produce during an all-day work session?

The monitor has no internal fan; heat is dissipated passively through the 1.8 inch deep chassis, so noise stays at ambient level.
