Refurbished 18-inch gaming laptop

The ASUS ROG Strix G18 is a refurbished gaming laptop built around an 18-inch WQXGA display. It runs on an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card. The system includes 32GB of DDR5 memory and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD. Windows 11 Home comes pre-installed.

240Hz WQXGA Nebula display

The screen measures 18 inches with a 2560 by 1600 resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio. It uses an IPS-level anti-glare panel rated at 240Hz and a 3ms response time. This refresh rate is the single specification that determines whether the panel matches high-frame-rate gaming needs. The panel does not support touch input.

Suits competitive gamers.

This configuration suits players who want high refresh rates at 2.5K resolution on a large screen. The 7.05 kg weight and 18-inch chassis make it impractical for frequent travel. Buyers needing a lightweight device or touchscreen functionality should look at other models.

Questions about this item

How does the 5.4 GHz max turbo on the Core Ultra 9 275HX translate to sustained performance inside the 7.05 kg chassis?

The 24-core processor can hit 5.4 GHz on short bursts; the 18-inch chassis and cooling solution determine how long it holds that speed before thermal limits reduce clocks.

What does the 802.11be Wi-Fi 7 radio actually deliver on a typical home router?

The 2x2 Wi-Fi 7 adapter supports triple-band operation and Bluetooth 5.4, but real-world throughput depends on the router's channel width, band support and congestion.

Will the 1 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD fit a second drive in the same slot?

The laptop ships with one M.2 2280 drive installed; adding a second SSD requires an additional M.2 slot on the motherboard, which is not confirmed in the specifications.
