ASUS GeForce RTX 3060 OC 12GB

This ASUS ROG Strix graphics card is a factory-overclocked GeForce RTX 3060 with 12GB of GDDR6 memory. It connects via a PCI Express 4.0 x16 interface and provides one HDMI port and one DisplayPort output. The unit is manufacturer refurbished by ASUS and sold as the video card only without accessories.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

The 12GB frame buffer suits gamers and creators who need more video memory for higher texture settings or multi-monitor productivity at 1440p. Buyers who want a brand-new retail package with full accessories should look elsewhere. Systems that lack a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot or sufficient power connectors cannot use this card.

The deciding specification

The 12GB GDDR6 memory capacity is the specification that decides whether this is the right part for a build targeting modern titles or content-creation workloads that exceed 8GB of VRAM.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the ROG Strix RTX 3060 run under continuous load?

The ROG Strix cooler uses a triple-fan design with a large heatsink to keep the RTX 3060 GPU quiet and cool during extended sessions.

What power connectors does the ROG-STRIX-RTX3060-O12G-GAMING need from my PSU?

This card draws auxiliary power through an 8-pin PCIe connector; ensure your supply has that lead available.

Will the PCIe 4.0 x16 interface work in my older PCIe 3.0 motherboard slot?

Yes, the GeForce RTX 3060 is backward compatible and will operate at PCIe 3.0 x16 speeds in a 3.0 slot.
