ASUS GeForce RTX 3070 8GB

The ASUS GeForce RTX 3070 8GB GDDR6 DUAL is a graphics card built around the NVIDIA RTX 3070 GPU. It targets gamers and creators who need solid frame rates at 1440p resolution. The dual-fan cooler keeps the chip stable under load. The card occupies a standard dual-slot footprint inside the case.

8GB GDDR6 capacity and headroom

Eight gigabytes of GDDR6 memory handle modern game textures and creative workloads at high settings. The buffer provides comfortable headroom for 1440p gaming and entry-level 4K tasks. Demanding titles with maximum texture packs or heavy VR scenes may push the limit. Memory bandwidth supports smooth data flow for the GPU cores.

PCIe 4.0 x16 interface limits

The card connects through a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot for maximum throughput. On a PCIe 4.0 platform the link delivers full bandwidth for gaming and compute. Running the card in a PCIe 3.0 slot cuts the theoretical ceiling in half. Real-world frame-rate impact is usually small at 1440p but grows at lower resolutions.

Questions about this item

Will the RTX 3070 work with my older PCIe 3.0 motherboard?

The card uses a PCIe 4.0 x16 interface and is backward compatible with PCIe 3.0 slots, so it will function normally on your existing board.

How can I verify the 8GB GDDR6 memory is detected correctly after installation?

Open GPU-Z or Task Manager and confirm the memory size reads 8GB and the type shows GDDR6.

Does the DUAL-RTX3070-8G include any power cables or brackets in the box?

The package contains the video card only inside an anti-static bag; no accessories, cables or brackets are supplied.
