Ergonomic Vertical Trackball Mouse

The ASUS JOMAA D1186C9Z is a right-handed wireless mouse that uses a finger-operated trackball instead of traditional desk movement. Its vertical shape supports a natural handshake posture to reduce wrist strain during extended sessions. Connectivity covers a 2.4 GHz receiver plus two Bluetooth 5.0 channels for three-device switching.

Suited for Multi-Device Desk Work

This design fits users who want cursor control without moving the whole mouse across a surface, making it useful for confined desks or multi-monitor setups. The 16 buttons and tilt scroll wheel help with shortcut-heavy workflows. Buyers who need higher DPI settings than 1000 or a left-handed form factor should consider other options.

Adds Flexibility to a Minimal Setup

The built-in 500 mAh battery charges via USB Type-C, removing the need for disposable cells. Three DPI levels at 600, 800 and 1000 cover office tasks and casual play without extra software. The compact footprint at 7.5946 cm by 11.2014 cm by 13.4112 cm and 0.17 kg weight leaves desk space free for keyboards or drawing tablets.

Questions about this item

Does this mouse need a USB port for the 2.4G receiver or can it run solely on Bluetooth 5.0?

It supports both: plug the 2.4G dongle into a USB-A port or pair via Bluetooth 5.0 without any receiver.

Can I keep the trackball paired to a desktop over 2.4G while also switching to a laptop and tablet on the two Bluetooth channels?

Yes, the tri-mode design holds one 2.4G link and two Bluetooth 5.0 links simultaneously; a single button cycles through all three.

How do I confirm the 500 mAh battery is charging and which DPI level is active after I plug in the Type-C cable?

The low-battery indicator shows charging status, and the DPI button toggles between 600, 800 and 1000 DPI with each press.
