Right-handed optical gaming mouse with a Hero 25K sensor up to 25,600 DPI, 16 programmable buttons, Lightsync RGB, 87 g weight plus a 10 g optional weight, and a 2.1 m braided cable
The ASUS Logitech G403 HERO is a right-handed optical gaming mouse built around a HERO 25K sensor that delivers 1:1 tracking, 400-plus IPS and a 100 to 25,600 DPI range with zero smoothing, filtering or acceleration. It connects via 2.4 GHz wireless or wired USB and includes a 2.1-metre braided cable. LIGHTSYNC RGB provides 16.8-million-colour lighting that reacts to in-game action, audio and screen colour. The shell weighs 87 grams and a 10-gram optional weight lets you adjust the balance.
The shape, rubber side grips and removable 10-gram weight suit competitive players who want to fine-tune mass and balance for fast aiming. Six programmable buttons and on-the-fly DPI shifting across five presets support MOBA and FPS keybinds. Left-handed users should look elsewhere because the ergonomic contour is moulded for right-hand grip only. Buyers who want more than 16 programmable buttons or a fully ambidextrous shape should consider other form factors.
The single specification that decides fit is the HERO 25K sensor’s 25,600 maximum DPI combined with 400-plus IPS tracking speed and a 1-ms report rate. This ceiling covers pixel-precise sniping and high-speed swipes without smoothing or acceleration. If your workflow never exceeds 16,000 DPI or you prefer a heavier, fixed-weight mouse, the sensor headroom and removable weight will not be decisive factors.

The mouse measures 4.9022 cm x 11.8 cm x 17.6 cm and weighs 87g without the optional 10g weight, making it a lightweight right-handed design with rubber side grips.
Plug the braided 2.1 metre cable into a USB port and install G HUB software to enable the HERO 25K sensor upgrade; the common mistake is skipping the software update that unlocks the full 100 to 25,600 DPI range.
The 10g optional weight can be removed or reinstalled to adjust balance, the braided cable should be checked for wear at the mouse entry point, and the PTFE feet may eventually need replacement after heavy use.
