Micro ATX motherboard supports Socket AM3 processors and up to 8GB DDR3 memory
The ASUS M4N68T-M LE is a Micro ATX motherboard built for AMD processors that use the Socket AM3 interface. It supports up to 8GB of DDR3 system memory and includes a chassis I/O back panel. The board ships with a CMOS battery and one SATA cable for storage connectivity.
This board replaces Socket AM2 motherboards when moving to AM3 processors while keeping existing DDR3 memory. The jump is worth it when the current system is limited to 8GB maximum memory and needs the newer socket for processor compatibility. Existing DDR3 modules can often be reused without purchasing new memory kits.
DDR3 memory on this platform tops out at the 8GB maximum supported by the board, restricting multitasking headroom for modern workloads. SATA storage devices connect through the provided cable but operate at the interface speeds native to the chipset. The Micro ATX form factor fits smaller cases yet limits expansion slots compared to full-size ATX alternatives.

The Micro ATX form factor fits standard Micro ATX, ATX, and larger cases with matching mounting holes.
Lift the socket lever, align the CPU triangle with the socket corner, place the CPU gently, lower the lever, then apply thermal paste before mounting the cooler.
Replace the CMOS battery when the system loses date and time settings or shows BIOS checksum errors at startup.
