An AM5 board for Ryzen 7000, 8000 and 9000 CPUs with DDR5 7600 support up to 256 GB, a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot, two M.2 sockets, Wi-Fi 6 and 1 Gb Ethernet
The ASUS PRIME A620A-PLUS WIFI is an ATX motherboard built for AMD Ryzen 9000, 8000 and 7000 series processors using the AM5 socket. It targets builders who want a stable foundation for everyday computing and AI-ready workloads without overclocking headroom. The A620A chipset delivers essential features for home and office systems.
Four 288-pin slots support up to 256 GB of DDR5 memory at 7600 MT/s via AMD EXPO or ASUS AEMP profiles. Dual-channel architecture feeds integrated graphics and productivity apps smoothly. Unbuffered ECC modules are accepted for data-integrity tasks. The board caps at 256 GB, so heavy virtualisation or workstation datasets will need a higher-tier chipset.
A single PCIe 4.0 x16 slot handles modern graphics cards, while three additional PCIe 3.0 x16 slots and four x1 slots provide legacy expansion. Two M.2 sockets accept PCIe 4.0 x4 or 3.0 x4 drives for fast OS and scratch storage. Four SATA 6 Gbps ports with RAID 0/1/5/10 round out drive options. Rear and front USB 5 Gbps Type-C, WiFi 6, 1 Gb Ethernet and 7.1 audio complete the I/O.
