System purpose

The ASUS Prime AP202 is a liquid-cooled gaming desktop built around an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K 24-core processor running at 5.7 GHz. It pairs that CPU with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card carrying 16 GB of GDDR7 memory and 128 GB of DDR5 system memory. The platform targets enthusiasts who want a ready-to-play Windows 11 machine for high-refresh 4K gaming and heavy multitasking.

Sustained load behaviour

A 360 mm liquid cooler handles the 24-core CPU during extended sessions, while the 1000 W power supply feeds both the processor and the RTX 5080 without throttling. The 4 TB NVMe SSD keeps large game libraries and project files on fast storage, and the PCI Express x16 link lets the GPU move assets at full bandwidth for long rendering or compute workloads.

Thermals noise and power

Liquid cooling moves heat away from the CPU more quietly than a stock air cooler, so fan speeds stay lower during typical gaming. The 1000 W unit delivers headroom for the GPU and CPU together, and the chassis airflow exhausts warm air efficiently. VR-ready certification means the system maintains stable output for headset use without thermal spikes.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the 360mm liquid cooler keep the 24-core Core Ultra 9 285K at 5.7GHz during all-day loads?

The 360mm liquid cooler is designed to handle the thermal output of the 24-core Core Ultra 9 285K running at 5.7GHz, maintaining lower temperatures and quieter operation than standard air coolers under sustained heavy workloads.

What display cable and monitor input do I need to use the RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7?

The RTX 5080 uses a PCI Express x16 interface and requires a monitor with a compatible DisplayPort or HDMI input; the necessary display cable is not included and must be supplied separately.

Will my existing SATA III hard drives work alongside the 4TB NVMe SSD in this system?

Yes, the motherboard includes SATA III ports, so any existing SATA III hard drives or SSDs can be installed alongside the 4TB NVMe SSD for additional storage capacity.
