System identity

The ASUS Prime AP202 is a liquid-cooled gaming desktop built around an AMD Ryzen 9 9900X 12-core processor running at 4.4GHz and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card with 32GB GDDR7 memory. It ships with 32GB DDR5 RAM, a 4TB NVMe SSD and Windows 11 Home pre-installed. This configuration targets enthusiasts who want a fully assembled, high-end system ready for 4K gaming and heavy content creation without selecting individual parts.

Thermals, noise and power

A 360mm liquid cooler handles the CPU thermal load while the 1200W power supply feeds the GPU and platform. The factory-assembled loop and case airflow are tuned for sustained high-wattage operation during extended sessions. Acoustic output will rise under full GPU and CPU utilisation but remains within typical enthusiast-desktop limits. The unit is tested before dispatch to verify stable thermals and power delivery at stock settings.

Bundled software and accessories impact

Windows 11 Home activates immediately so the system boots to a usable desktop without extra licencing steps. The 4TB NVMe SSD provides the primary volume for games and applications, leaving the SATA III interface free for additional storage if desired. Four DDR5 slots are populated to 32GB, so further memory expansion requires replacing modules rather than adding to empty sockets. Component brands may vary from the images shown.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 360 mm liquid cooler and what step do people miss?

The 360 mm liquid cooler is factory-installed inside the Prime AP202 chassis. The step people miss is leaving the transport brackets on the cold plate; remove them before first power-on so the Ryzen 9 9900X makes full contact.

What maintenance or replacement will the 360 mm liquid cooler need later?

The sealed 360 mm loop is maintenance-free for its service life. If pump noise or CPU temperatures rise after several years, the entire AIO unit is replaced as one part; no coolant top-up is required.

What limit appears first during sustained loads on the RTX 5090?

The 1200 W power supply sets the ceiling; under continuous 4K gaming the RTX 5090 and 12-core Ryzen 9 9900X together can approach the unit’s rated output, triggering power limiting before thermal throttling.
