Ready-to-play liquid-cooled desktop

The ASUS Prime AP202 is a new gaming desktop built around a 12-core Ryzen 9 9900X running at 4.4 GHz and a Radeon RX 9070 with 16 GB GDDR6 memory. It ships with 32 GB DDR5, a 2 TB NVMe SSD, an 850 W power supply and Windows 11 Home pre-installed. A 360 mm liquid cooler handles CPU thermals inside the AP202 chassis.

AM5 platform with four DDR5 slots

The motherboard uses the AM5 socket and provides four memory slots, all currently populated with the 32 GB DDR5 kit. Storage expansion relies on SATA III ports for additional drives. The graphics card connects through a PCI Express x16 slot and the system is marked virtual-reality ready. Component brands may vary between units.

12-core CPU for heavy multithreaded work

The 9900X delivers 12 cores and 64-bit processing, making the machine suitable for content creation and streaming alongside gaming. Buyers who need more than 32 GB of memory or multiple graphics cards should look elsewhere, as the board supports a single CPU and one x16 GPU. The 850 W supply powers the included parts with headroom for typical upgrades.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 32 GB DDR5 or a larger kit for this build?

The system ships with 32 GB DDR5 across four slots, leaving all four DIMM sockets free for future expansion if you need more capacity.

What does the 4.4 GHz base clock on the Ryzen 9 9900X deliver in daily use?

Twelve cores at 4.4 GHz give strong single-thread responsiveness and plenty of multi-thread throughput for gaming, streaming and content creation workloads.

How does the PCI Express x16 link affect the Radeon RX 9070 16 GB GDDR6?

The card runs on a full PCI Express x16 connection, so the 16 GB GDDR6 frame buffer and GPU compute units operate without interface bottlenecks.
