Barebone mini PC with an Intel N250 processor, a DDR5 SO-DIMM slot for up to 16 GB, an empty M.2 2280 bay, triple-display outputs, 2.5 GbE LAN, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3
Configuration 16GB RAM / 256GB SSD
The ASUS NUC 14 Essential is a barebone mini PC built around the Intel Processor N250 with Intel UHD Graphics. It arrives without memory or storage so integrators can choose a single DDR5 4800 SO-DIMM up to 16 GB and one M.2 2280 or 2242 drive. The compact chassis measures 5.31 by 4.53 by 1.42 inches and includes a VESA mount for behind-display installation.
One 262-pin SO-DIMM slot accepts a single-channel DDR5 module, freeing the second channel for cost-sensitive deployments. The M.2 slot supports PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe or SATA SSDs from 128 GB to 4 TB, while the 2.5 GbE RJ45 port, Wi-Fi 6E AX211 and Bluetooth 5.3 handle wired and wireless connectivity. Video outputs comprise DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI and USB Type-C, each driving up to 4096 by 2160 at 60 Hz for triple-display setups.
The N250 processor runs at 1.25 GHz with 32 execution units, delivering steady throughput for office, signage and thin-client workloads without the thermal spikes of higher-wattage CPUs. Passive-heatsink cooling in the 1.42-inch height keeps acoustic output low during continuous operation. Integrated 7.1-channel audio and the compact footprint suit always-on environments where space and noise are constrained.

Other versions of this model
The board supports one 262-pin DDR5-4800 SO-DIMM up to 16 GB; dual-channel is not available.
The 32-execution-unit UHD graphics and 2.5 GbE controller share the same compact chassis, so sustained loads will raise surface heat and fan speed noticeably.
The slot takes 2242 or 2280 drives using either PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe or SATA, from 128 GB to 4 TB.
