Ready-to-game desktop

The ASUS ROG GR701 is a complete gaming desktop built around an Intel Core i7-14700KF 20-core processor running at 3.4GHz and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card with 8GB GDDR7 memory. It ships with Windows 11 Home installed and a 360mm liquid cooler fitted. The system is assembled, tested and ready to play out of the box.

Graphics card fit

The single specification that decides suitability is the GeForce RTX 5060 with 8GB GDDR7 on a PCI Express x16 interface. This card targets 1440p gaming at high refresh rates and supports virtual reality headsets. Buyers who need more video memory for 4K texture packs or professional rendering workloads should look elsewhere.

Storage and memory headroom

The 4TB NVMe SSD and 2TB SATA III HDD provide 6TB total capacity for large game libraries and media archives. The 32GB DDR5 kit across four slots leaves all four slots populated, so future expansion requires replacing modules rather than adding them. The 750W power supply powers the included components with headroom for typical upgrades.

Questions about this item

How does the 20-core i7-14700KF perform inside this desktop?

The 20-core i7-14700KF runs at a 3.4GHz base frequency and is cooled by a 360mm liquid cooler, so it can sustain high multi-threaded workloads and gaming frames without thermal throttling.

What does the PCI Express x16 interface mean for the RTX 5060?

The RTX 5060 connects through a full PCI Express x16 slot, giving the 8GB GDDR7 graphics card the maximum bandwidth the platform provides for 1440p gaming and VR.

Will the 360mm liquid cooler fit in the GR701 chassis?

Yes, the 360mm liquid cooler is factory-installed in the GR701 case, so the radiator, pump and tubing are already mounted and tested for clearance.
