ASUS ROG GR701 Gaming Desktop

The ASUS ROG GR701 is a liquid-cooled gaming desktop built around an 8-core Ryzen 7 9700X processor running at 3.8GHz. It pairs a Radeon RX 7800 XT graphics card with 16GB GDDR6 memory and 128GB of DDR5 system memory. Storage combines a 2TB NVMe SSD with a 2TB hard drive, powered by a 750W supply running Windows 11 Home.

Suited for high-refresh 1440p play

This system suits players targeting high frame rates at 1440p resolution and creators who need 128GB of memory for large projects. The 360mm liquid cooler keeps the CPU stable under sustained loads. Buyers who need more than 16GB of video memory for 4K ultra textures or professional GPU compute should look at a different configuration.

Radeon RX 7800 XT 16GB GDDR6 graphics

The single specification that decides fit is the Radeon RX 7800 XT with 16GB of GDDR6 video memory. This determines the resolution ceiling and texture capacity available in modern titles. If your workload demands greater VRAM or a different GPU architecture, this desktop will not meet that requirement.

Questions about this item

Does the ASUS ROG GR701 include a monitor, keyboard and mouse so I can start gaming right away?

The system ships as a tower only with Windows 11 Home pre-installed, so you will need to provide your own display, keyboard and mouse.

Will my existing 2.5G Ethernet switch work at full speed with the GR701's built-in 2.5G Ethernet port?

Yes, the desktop includes a 2.5G Ethernet port that will negotiate the full 2.5G link speed with a compatible switch or router.

How can I confirm the liquid cooler is running correctly after I set up the PC?

In Windows you can monitor CPU temperature and pump RPM through the motherboard utility or BIOS; a stable idle temperature and visible pump speed confirm the 360mm liquid cooler is operating.
