Ryzen 7 9700X gaming desktop

This ASUS ROG GR701 system pairs an 8-core Ryzen 7 9700X processor with a Radeon RX 7800 XT graphics card. It ships with 32GB of DDR5 memory, a 4TB NVMe SSD plus a 2TB hard drive, and a 750W power supply. Windows 11 Home comes pre-installed and the machine is liquid cooled.

Upgrade from air-cooled 8-core builds

The 360mm liquid cooler keeps the 3.8GHz CPU at lower temperatures than standard air solutions during extended sessions. Builders moving from a system without high-speed NVMe storage gain much faster game loads and application starts. The 2.5G Ethernet port also improves wired network throughput over older 1G connections.

Sustained load with liquid cooling

Under continuous gaming or rendering workloads the closed-loop cooler maintains stable clock rates without the thermal throttling seen on smaller air coolers. The 750W unit delivers steady power to both the 8-core processor and the 16GB GDDR6 graphics card. RGB lighting remains configurable while the chassis runs quiet.

Questions about this item

Will the 360 mm liquid cooler fit in a standard mid-tower case?

The ASUS ROG GR701 chassis is designed around the 360 mm radiator, so the cooler is pre-mounted and requires no additional case clearance.

How is the liquid cooling loop installed, and what step do builders often miss?

The loop arrives factory-sealed and pressure-tested; the only required step is removing the shipping brackets before first power-on.

What maintenance will the 360 mm liquid cooler need after a few years?

The closed-loop design is maintenance-free for the warranty period; no refill or fluid change is required.
