Ready-to-game desktop

The ASUS ROG GR701 arrives fully assembled with a 16-core AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D running at 4.3GHz and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 equipped with 32GB GDDR7. It targets enthusiasts who want 4K gaming and heavy content creation without building or tuning a system themselves. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed and the machine ships tested. Buyers who need a smaller footprint or a lower power envelope should look elsewhere.

360mm liquid cooler and 1200W supply

A 360mm liquid cooler handles the CPU thermal load while the 1200W power supply feeds the GPU and 128GB of DDR5 memory. The closed-loop cooler keeps the 16-core processor at stable temperatures during extended sessions. Acoustic output stays contained inside the chassis under typical gaming loads. The single high-capacity PSU removes the need for multiple cables or external bricks.

2TB NVMe boot drive

The 2TB NVMe SSD provides the primary storage volume for the operating system and active projects. Read and write speeds suit large game installs and video timelines. Only one drive bay is populated so users who want a separate data archive or RAID array must add drives themselves. The board offers four DDR5 slots, all occupied, leaving no room for memory expansion.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 360 mm liquid cooler on the AM5 socket, and what step do people miss?

Mount the AM5 retention bracket that ships with the cooler, apply thermal paste evenly, then secure the pump block before routing the 360 mm radiator fans to the motherboard headers.

Which component in the GR701 will need replacement first under heavy gaming loads?

The 1200 W power supply and the 360 mm liquid cooler pump are the parts most likely to require service after extended high-wattage operation.

What thermal limit appears first when the Ryzen 9 9950X3D and RTX 5090 run sustained workloads?

The 360 mm liquid cooler's heat-rejection capacity becomes the bottleneck before either the CPU or GPU hits its own thermal ceiling.
