Ready-to-play gaming desktop

The ASUS ROG GR701 is a new Windows 11 Home desktop built around a 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor running at 4.3 GHz. It targets gamers and creators who want a fully assembled system that ships tested and ready to play without further integration work.

Liquid-cooled chassis with 850 W supply

A 360 mm liquid cooler handles the CPU thermal load inside a desktop form factor that includes Wi-Fi and RGB lighting. The 850 W power supply feeds the Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics card with 16 GB GDDR6 memory over a PCI Express x16 link, while four DDR5 slots hold the installed 64 GB kit and leave room for future expansion.

2 TB NVMe storage and VR-ready graphics

The 2 TB NVMe SSD provides the primary volume for games and applications, replacing smaller or slower drives that limit load times. The RX 9070 XT enables virtual reality experiences and high-refresh 1440p play, making the step up worthwhile when the current rig cannot sustain those frame rates or lacks the 16 GB video memory buffer.

Questions about this item

What PCI Express interface does the Radeon RX 9070 XT use and what bandwidth ceiling does that set?

The Radeon RX 9070 XT connects through a PCI Express x16 slot, which defines the maximum link width available to the graphics card.

What clearance does the 360 mm liquid cooler require inside the GR701 chassis?

The integrated 360 mm radiator fits the GR701 case as shipped, so no extra clearance checks are needed for the factory build.

How is the 64 GB DDR5 memory installed and which slot population mistake should be avoided?

The system ships with 64 GB of DDR5 already populated across the four slots; do not move modules to different slots as the board expects the factory layout.
