ATX B550 board with four DDR4 slots up to 128GB, PCIe 4.0 x16, three M.2 sockets, six SATA ports and SupremeFX audio, bundled with a 65W six-core Ryzen 5 5500 CPU
This bundle pairs an ASUS ROG STRIX B550-A GAMING motherboard with an AMD Ryzen 5 5500 six-core processor. The AM4 socket board uses the AMD B550 chipset and supports DDR4 memory up to 5100 MT/s when overclocked. It is suited for builders who want a ready-to-run platform for gaming or productivity without selecting parts separately.
Four 288-pin slots accept up to 128 GB of dual-channel DDR4 across a wide range of validated speeds from 2133 to 5100 MT/s depending on the CPU installed. Three M.2 sockets take 2242, 2260, 2280 and 22110 modules with both SATA and PCIe 4.0 x4 modes available on the primary slot. Six SATA 6Gb/s ports add RAID 0, 1 and 10 support for larger drive arrays.
The ATX board provides one PCIe 4.0 x16 slot, one PCIe 3.0 x16 slot running at x4 and three PCIe 3.0 x1 slots for expansion cards. Rear I/O includes 8-channel audio driven by the SupremeFX S1220A codec. Onboard video output works only with processors that have integrated graphics. The 65 W CPU fits standard AM4 coolers and the layout keeps primary expansion clear for graphics cards.

A BIOS update might be required before the Ryzen 5000 series processor will post, so plan for a supported older CPU or USB BIOS FlashBack if available.
The 5500 officially supports up to 3200 MT/s; the board lists higher OC speeds such as 3600, 3866, 4000, 4133, 4400 and 4600 MT/s, but those require manual tuning.
Six SATA 6Gb/s ports and two M.2 sockets (one CPU-linked at PCIe 4.0 x4, one chipset-linked) are available for storage.
