ROG Strix G16 16.0" QHD 240Hz Gaming Laptop

The ASUS ROG Strix G16 is a 16.0-inch Windows 11 gaming laptop built around a 24-core Intel Core i9-14900HX processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 8GB GDDR6 GPU. It ships with 32GB DDR5 memory and a 1TB PCIe SSD. The 16:10 IPS-level panel runs at 2560 x 1600 resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate for fluid motion in competitive titles.

24-Core i9-14900HX Processor with 5.8 GHz Turbo

The single specification that decides fit is the 14th Gen Intel Core i9-14900HX: 24 cores (8 performance + 16 efficient), 32 threads, 36MB cache, 2.20GHz base and up to 5.8 GHz turbo. This CPU handles heavy multithreaded workloads such as video rendering, compilation and streaming while the RTX 4060 8GB GDDR6 drives the display and accelerates GPU compute tasks.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Under sustained load the laptop uses dual graphics switching between integrated and dedicated RTX 4060 8GB GDDR6 to balance thermals and power draw. Thunderbolt 4 and USB 3.2 Type-C ports support external GPUs or high-speed storage for extended sessions. Wi-Fi 6E AX211 and Bluetooth 5.3 maintain stable wireless connectivity, while the RJ-45 Ethernet port provides a wired fallback for low-latency requirements.
