ASUS ROG Strix G16 2024 Gaming Laptop

The ASUS ROG Strix G16 2024 is a Windows 11 gaming laptop built around an Intel Core i9 14th Gen processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU with 140W Max TGP. It ships with 16GB of DDR5-5600 memory and a 1TB PCIe Gen4 SSD. The 16.0 inch ROG Nebula Display runs at QHD 240Hz with 100% DCI-P3 coverage and Pantone Validation. Buyers who want a high-refresh QHD panel

This machine suits players who value a 240Hz QHD screen, dedicated graphics at 140W TGP, and a MUX Switch with Advanced Optimus for direct dGPU routing or automatic iGPU switching. It is less suited for buyers who want more storage capacity out of the box, builders who need user-replaceable memory modules, or users who require a larger chassis for additional drive bays or expanded I/O.

Fits a portable battle-station

The laptop connects via Wi-Fi 6E and includes a 90-day Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription for immediate access to a large library. The MUX Switch and Advanced Optimus let the system toggle between integrated and discrete graphics without a reboot, saving battery when gaming is not the focus. The 1TB PCIe Gen4 drive leaves room for a core game library while the 16GB DDR5 kit handles multitasking; additional storage or memory upgrades depend on the chassis layout.

Questions about this item

Does the G614JIR-AS94 need any external power adapter to run the RTX 4070 at its 140W Max TGP?

The laptop includes its own power supply; the RTX 4070 Laptop GPU reaches 140W Max TGP from that adapter, so no extra brick is required.

Will my existing Wi-Fi 6E router work with the Strix G16 wireless card?

Yes, the built-in Wi-Fi 6E module is backwards compatible with your current router and will connect at the highest standard both devices support.

How can I confirm the Nebula Display is running at QHD 240Hz after Windows 11 setup?

Open Settings > System > Display > Advanced display and verify the refresh rate shows 240 Hz at the native QHD resolution.
