ROG Strix G16 2025 gaming laptop

The ASUS ROG Strix G16 (2025) is a 16-inch gaming laptop built around an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU. It ships with Windows 11 Home, 32 GB of DDR5 memory and a 1 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. The Eclipse Gray chassis includes a full-size backlit keyboard and a full-surround RGB light bar with a Stealth Mode option.

16 ROG Nebula 240 Hz display

The 16.0-inch ROG Nebula panel uses a 16:10 aspect ratio and a 2.5K resolution refreshed at 240 Hz with a 3 ms response time. An ACR film boosts contrast and cuts glare for gaming and content work. Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) handles wireless traffic. This configuration suits players who want high refresh rates and strong GPU power in a 16-inch form factor; buyers needing a larger screen, more storage bays or a lower price should look elsewhere.

RTX 5080 Laptop GPU with DLSS

The single specification that decides fit is the GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU, which brings the Blackwell architecture and DLSS support to this chassis. Cooling relies on an end-to-end vapor chamber, tri-fan design and liquid metal on the chipset to sustain performance. If the RTX 5080 tier matches your workload, this model delivers; if you need a different GPU tier, choose another SKU.

Questions about this item

Will the 16 inch 240 Hz Nebula display fit in a standard 16 inch laptop sleeve?

The chassis is built around a 16 inch 16:10 panel; most sleeves labelled for 16 inch laptops will accommodate it, but check the sleeve's internal depth against the laptop's thickness.

Can the single 32 GB DDR5 module be upgraded later?

The board provides one M.2 2242 PCIe 4.0 slot for storage; memory is soldered as a single 32 GB DDR5 5600 stick, so RAM capacity cannot be increased.

Does the RTX 5080 laptop GPU support DLSS 4 in current titles?

Yes, the Blackwell based RTX 5080 includes DLSS 4 support; performance gains depend on each game's implementation and driver version.
