ROG Strix G16 gaming laptop

The ASUS ROG Strix G16 is a 16.0 inch gaming laptop built around an Intel Core i7-14650HX processor with 16 cores and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU with 8GB GDDR7 memory. It ships with 64GB of DDR5 5600MHz memory and a 4TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. The 165Hz WUXGA IPS panel covers 100% sRGB and includes an ACR film for contrast and glare reduction. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed.

Check your workflow before ordering

This unit arrives with the factory seal opened so the memory and storage can be upgraded to the advertised 64GB and 4TB configuration. Verify that your external monitors can use the HDMI 2.1 or Thunderbolt 4 ports for 165Hz output. Confirm that your network environment supports Wi-Fi 7 or wired RJ-45 for the included connectivity options. Ensure your software licences are compatible with Windows 11 Home.

Upgrade from older 8GB or 16GB machines

The jump to 64GB DDR5 and a 4TB Gen 4 SSD eliminates the need for external drives and allows heavy multitasking alongside modern titles. The RTX 5060 with 8GB GDDR7 and DLSS 4 replaces mid-range GPUs that struggle at 1080p high refresh rates. The 165Hz panel with 3ms response supersedes 60Hz or 120Hz screens for competitive play. The vapor chamber and liquid metal cooling sustain higher clocks longer than traditional heat-pipe designs.
