Built for competitive gaming and creative work

The ASUS ROG Strix G16 pairs an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor with 24 cores and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU with 8GB GDDR7. A 16-inch 2.5K 240Hz display covers 100 percent DCI-P3 colour. Thirty-two gigabytes of DDR5 memory and a 2TB PCIe SSD handle modern workloads. Windows 11 Pro and Office 2024 ship pre-installed.

Connectivity and chassis practicality

The Eclipse Gray chassis measures 13.94 by 10.55 by 0.9 inches and weighs 5.84 pounds. Ports include one HDMI 2.1, one Thunderbolt 4, one USB-C 3.2, three USB-A 3.2 and one RJ45 LAN jack. Wireless uses Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. The anti-glare IPS-level panel has a 3ms response time. A backlit keyboard and webcam are fitted; there is no fingerprint reader or SD card slot.

Upgrade path from older 1080p 60Hz machines

Moving from a 1080p 60Hz laptop with a previous-generation GPU and 16GB memory gives a clear jump in frame-rate headroom, colour accuracy and multitasking capacity. The higher refresh panel and faster storage reduce load times in large projects. The step is most worthwhile when current hardware struggles with 2.5K gaming or colour-critical editing.
