16-core i7-14650HX gaming laptop

The ASUS ROG Strix G16 pairs an Intel Core i7-14650HX with 16 cores and 24 threads with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU carrying 8GB GDDR7. 64GB DDR5 and a 1TB PCIe SSD complete a platform built for high-refresh gaming and multitasking workloads. Windows 11 Pro and Office 2024 are pre-installed.

Gray chassis with RGB keyboard and Wi-Fi 7

The Eclipse Gray body measures 13.94 x 10.55 x .9 inches and weighs 5.83 pounds. Ports include three Superspeed USB Type-A, two Superspeed USB Type-C, HDMI, RJ-45 and a headphone/microphone combo. ROG Intelligent Cooling manages thermals while Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth handle wireless connectivity.

16-inch 165Hz FHD+ display decides fit

The 16-inch panel runs at 1920 x 1200 resolution and 165Hz refresh for smooth motion in competitive titles. Non-touch operation keeps the surface glare-controlled. If your workflow or games demand this exact screen size, resolution and refresh combination, the laptop matches; otherwise the display spec is the limiting factor.

Questions about this item

What display standard does the 165Hz panel use, and what frame rate does that cap in practice?

The 16-inch FHD+ panel runs at 1920 x 1200 with a 165Hz refresh rate, so the display itself caps visible frames at 165 per second.

What are the chassis dimensions that determine whether it fits a bag or sleeve?

The laptop measures 13.94 x 10.55 x 0.9 inches and weighs 5.83 pounds, so a 16-inch compartment with at least one inch of depth is required.

How is the pre-installed Office 2024 licence activated, and what step do buyers often miss?

Sign in with a Microsoft account during Windows 11 Pro setup; the digital licence attaches automatically, but skipping the sign-in screen leaves the suite unactivated.
