Ready-to-game laptop

The ASUS ROG Strix G16 ships with a 16-core Intel Core i7-14650HX processor, 32GB of DDR5 memory and a 4TB PCIe SSD. A 16-inch FHD+ panel running at 165Hz pairs with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 laptop GPU carrying 8GB of GDDR7. Windows 11 Pro and an Office 2024 licence are pre-installed.

Upgrade path

The configuration replaces a mid-range gaming notebook that maxed out at 16GB of memory and a 1TB drive. The jump is worth it when you need the larger SSD for a full game library and the extra RAM for heavy multitasking or content creation alongside play.

Installation notes

The unit arrives with the factory seal opened by engineers who have already installed the memory and storage upgrades. No further assembly is required; simply complete the Windows out-of-box experience. The only common snag is forgetting to install the ASUS Armoury Crate updates that enable the 165Hz refresh rate and the Thunderbolt 4 power-delivery features.
