18-inch 240 Hz WQXGA gaming laptop

The ASUS ROG Strix G18 pairs an AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 8GB GDDR7 graphics card. It delivers 64GB DDR5 SO-DIMM memory and an 8TB PCIe NVMe SSD for fast load times. The 18.0 inch 2560x1600 display runs at 240 Hz with a 16:10 aspect ratio. Windows 11 Home ships pre-installed on this Eclipse Gray chassis.

Thermals noise and 280W power adapter

A 280W power supply feeds the system while a 4-cell 90 WHr battery handles mobile use. WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4 provide wireless connectivity alongside a wired RJ-45 port. The RGB keyboard includes a standard layout with per-key lighting. No optical drive is fitted, reducing internal airflow restriction.

Sustained load behaviour with 16-core CPU

The Ryzen 9 8940HX offers 16 cores and 32 threads with a 5.3 GHz maximum boost and 64MB L3 cache. Dual graphics operation combines integrated and dedicated RTX 5070 output for VR-ready performance. HDMI and a headphone/microphone combo jack handle external display and audio. The 1.4 inch profile houses this hardware in a 15.75 inch deep footprint.
