This ASUS ROG Strix G18 G814FP pairs an 18-inch WQXGA IPS-level panel running at 240Hz with an AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 graphics. The 16-core CPU reaches a 5.4 GHz turbo frequency with 64 MB L3 cache. It targets enthusiasts who want high refresh-rate visuals and multi-threaded compute power in a single portable chassis. The system ships with Windows 11 Home pre-installed.

Factory-Applied Thermal Upgrades

HIDevolution applies Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut on the CPU and Gelid GC Extreme on the GPU before the unit leaves their facility. This liquid-metal and high-end paste combination is intended to lower core temperatures under sustained load. Because the work is done by an authorised ASUS build-to-order partner, the original warranty remains intact. No user disassembly or repasting is required to benefit from the improved thermal interface.

Verify Chassis Clearance and Power Needs

The laptop measures 15.71 inches wide by 11.57 inches deep and stands between 0.91 and 1.21 inches thick, weighing 6.61 lbs. Confirm that your bag, sleeve or docking station can accommodate these dimensions and weight. The 96 GB DDR5 kit is installed as two 48 GB modules running at 5600 MHz, while storage consists of two 4 TB PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSDs totalling 8 TB. Ensure your workflow can utilise this memory and capacity configuration.
