ROG Strix G18 18" WUXGA 144Hz

The ASUS ROG Strix G18 G814PH-ES94-HID6P is an 18-inch gaming laptop built around an AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX processor with 16 cores and a 5.2 GHz max turbo frequency. It pairs that CPU with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 graphics card carrying 8 GB of GDDR7 video memory. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro, 32 GB of DDR5 5600 MHz memory in dual-channel configuration, and a 1 TB PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD.

Suits high-refresh 18" mobile gaming.

Buyers who want a large 144 Hz IPS-level panel at 1920 x 1200 resolution and strong multi-threaded performance from the Ryzen 9 8940HX will find this configuration effective. The factory-applied thermal interface upgrades on both CPU and GPU aim to sustain clocks under load. Users prioritising a light chassis or long unplugged runtime should look elsewhere given the 6.61 lb weight and desktop-class hardware.

18" 144 Hz WUXGA display decides fit

The defining specification is the 18.0-inch WUXGA screen running at 144 Hz, which sets the physical footprint at 15.71 x 11.57 inches and a height between 0.91 and 1.21 inches. If that screen size and refresh rate match the intended use, the accompanying Ryzen 9 8940HX, RTX 5050, 32 GB DDR5, and 1 TB NVMe SSD complete a balanced high-performance package.
