ASUS ROG Strix G815LP 18" Gaming Laptop

The ASUS ROG Strix G815LP-IS96 is an 18-inch gaming laptop built around a 15th Gen Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor with 24 cores and 24 threads reaching 5.4GHz turbo. It pairs 64GB of DDR5 SO-DIMM memory with a 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 8GB GDDR7 GPU. The 240Hz IPS WQXGA display delivers 2560x1600 resolution in a 16:10 aspect ratio. Windows 11 Home ships pre-installed.

Connectivity and Expansion

Thunderbolt 4 and USB 3.2 Type-C ports provide high-speed external storage and dock support while HDMI drives an additional monitor. A built-in RJ-45 jack and 802.11be Wi-Fi with Bluetooth 5.4 handle wired and wireless networking. The 14-inch Duex Max DS portable monitor included in the box adds a second screen without occupying a video output. The 64GB memory and 2TB drive leave no empty slots for further internal upgrades.

Thermals and Power

A 280W power adapter feeds the system while a 4-cell 90Wh battery supplies mobile runtime. The chassis measures 17.25 by 11.75 by 1.4 inches and weighs 7lb. Under load the cooling solution manages the 24-core CPU and RTX 5070 GPU within the slim profile. Fan noise rises during sustained gaming but remains controlled for typical productivity workloads.
